History on Wheels Museum: Honoring Heroes of Color
Join the History on Wheels Mobile Museum for an engaging, interactive program that highlights the vital but often-overlooked contributions of African Americans in military service. Mannequins dressed in authentic uniforms from different eras will be on display, alongside artifacts, photographs, and documents that showcase their sacrifices and achievements. Founder Luther Johnson will share the stories behind the uniforms and artifacts, offering context about the wars they represent, the challenges faced, and the resilience shown.
This unique drop-in program blends education, storytelling, and visual history, creating a meaningful way for all ages to connect with history and honor the legacy of African American service members.

The H.O.W.? History On Wheels Museum is a mobile museum. This mobile museum shares passion for history with everyone and not be limited to any geographic location. History On Wheels primary focus is to highlight the role that African American men played during wartime.
