Grades 6-8: Participants read a title from the Caudill 2026 Young Readers' Book Award nominee list each month. This month we'll be discussing The Swifts: A Dictionary of Scoundrels by Beth Lincoln. In this novel, Shenanigan Swift is getting ready for the big Swift Family Reunion and plotting her next great hunting for Grand-Uncle Vile’s long-lost treasure. She’s excited to finally meet her arriving relatives—until one of them gives Arch-Aunt Schadenfreude a deadly shove down the stairs. Shenanigan knows she can become whatever she wants, even a detective. And she’s determined to follow the twisty clues and catch the killer.
At our book discussion TPPL will provide each attendee a snack and drink from a preselected menu. Book club meets at the following location: Bean N' Breek 17835 80th Avenue, Tinley Park, IL 60477.
