Pulitzer Prize–winning science journalist Blum makes chemistry come alive in her enthralling account of two forensic pioneers in early 20th-century New York, chronicling different Jazz Age poisoning cases, including a family's inexplicable balding, Barnum and Bailey's Blue Man, and the crumbling bones of factory workers.
The Out of the Ordinary Book Group meets the third Thursday of the month at 7:00 pm. Participants can grab a copy of the book being discussed one month before the discussion date at the Adult Reference Desk, or check out a copy through Libby/Overdrive.
